We were pleased to participate in the Ontario trade mission to EXPOMINA 2026, where Ontario businesses connected with potential customers, partners, and investors from international markets.

The mission created valuable opportunities for business-to-business discussions, allowing us to explore new partnerships, expand our global network, and identify potential opportunities for growth and export development.

George Pirie MPP, the leader of this year’s trade mission shared the following comments about the mission and its importance for Ontario businesses:

We were recently touched to receive an update from Durham Outlook, following our support as Presenting Sponsor of Bowl-O-Rama earlier this year.

Just three months after the event, the impact of the community’s generosity is already being felt. Since May, Durham Outlook’s kitchen has served more than 11,000 hot meals — over 100 meals every single day — to anyone who walks through its doors, no questions asked.

Knowing that our support has helped contribute to something so meaningful is incredibly rewarding for our team. Behind every meal is a person, a family, and a member of our community who deserves to feel supported and cared for.

We are incredibly grateful to Durham Outlook for the important work they do every day and for taking the time to share this update with us. Their message is a wonderful reminder of what can happen when businesses, organizations, and community members come together with a shared goal of helping others.

It’s that time again! We’re excited to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 PR Engineering Legacy Scholarship for $2500.

Application Requirements:
Interested candidates must meet the following criteria:

Be an Ontario resident
Submit an introduction letter / cover letter
Provide a letter of acceptance or proof of commitment to an accredited university program
Include a reference and/or letter of recommendation (with contact information)
Submit transcripts and highlight academic achievements
Demonstrate evidence of community involvement

Important Dates:

Application deadline: May 1, 2026
Recipient announcement: May 29, 2026

Please note that only one application per person will be accepted via email. Due to the volume of submissions, updates will not be provided during the review process. Only the selected recipient will be contacted.

At PR Engineering, we’re deeply humbled to support Whitby Hospice through the Handbags for Hospice initiative. We recognize how profoundly important it is for individuals and families to feel cared for, respected, and supported during life’s most difficult moments.

The work that Whitby Hospice does — offering comfort, dignity, and compassion at the en d of life — touches countless lives in our community. By contributing to this fundraiser, we hope to help ensure that no one has to face those moments alone. It’s an honor to stand with them in this meaningful work.

We are excited to announce that applications are now open for two prestigious scholarships designed to support and recognize outstanding students in our community. The deadline to apply is May 30th, 2025.

Frank and Joe Grieco Legacy & Leadership Scholarship

This scholarship honors Frank and Joe Grieco, who made major contributions to the mining and engineering industries. It’s for students pursuing careers in these fields and who want to continue their legacy through education and innovation.

Community Scholarship

This scholarship rewards students who have shown dedication to their communities through volunteer work, activism, or other forms of civic involvement. We’re looking for students who excel academically and want to make a positive impact in their communities.

Eligibility & Requirements:

Grade 12 students must submit transcripts/GPA.
Proof of enrollment in an accredited academic institution is required.
Evidence of community involvement, leadership, and achievements must be submitted.
Character references and an introduction letter are encouraged.

Even Trades Scholarship -$2500. The scholarship offers an opportunity for women to pursue a successful career in a trade industry, empowering them to reach their potential and assist with the costs of training.

PR Engineering Legacy Scholarship – $5000. By providing this scholarship, we honor and continue the legacy of Frank Grieco and Joe Grieco, who both passed away in 2007. For generations to come, their dedication to the engineering profession will be remembered.

Crushing Hunger Program. This holiday season, our company is donating turkeys and providing volunteers to prepare meals for families in need. Our hope is that this contribution can bring a little bit of joy to those in need during this holiday season.
